November 5, on the Dniester PSP was carried out installation of the impeller to the shaft 4, which in Ukrhydroenergo called a "historic event". The weight of the impeller, made in the Kharkov "Turboatom", is more than 120 tons.
under the contract, signed in August 2018, Kharkiv, the company repairs blade system of the impeller and performs the upgrade guide apparatus with the device of bearings with advanced composite cover and a new shaft seal.
all six hydrounits of Dniester HPP-1 installed Kaplan turbine production "Turboatom", which were delivered in 1980-ies. The capacity of each turbine - 119,5 MW, the impeller diameter is 6 m.
Dniester PSP is part of the Dniester complex hydro system, including also the Dniester HPPs-1иДнестровскую HPP-2(buffer dam).
the Project envisages the construction of seven hydroelectric units. Under conditions of stable financing, they can all be commissioned in the years 2025-2026. Fully built Dniester PSP will be the largest PSPs in Europe and the sixth largest in the world.
Energy of water is one of the most environmentally friendly: it does not need fossil resources or harmful to the environment, the equipment, and in the course of proceedings in the air does not release poisonous gases. In the developed countries for the production of electricity already used over 90% of the potential of the rivers, but in Ukraine, this figure reached only 60%. The optimal share of hydropower in total generation of our country should be equal to not less than 15%, but today it is no more than 8%.
