In monetary terms, for the first quarter of 2022, Kazakh refineries produced precious and non-ferrous metals worth 1.512 billion tenge (about $3.3 billion).

Quarterly gold production in Kazakhstan increased by 19%

Gold mining enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan in January-March 2022 produced 16.806 tons of refined gold, which is 18.8% more than a year earlier, follows from the materials of the statistics agency.

Production of refined silver in Kazakhstan decreased by 1.5% to 255.228 tons, refined raw unalloyed copper - by 0.4% to 122.542 thousand tons.

Production of raw and semi-finished gold or in the form of powder amounted to 28.733 tons (+16.7%), silver - 260.217 tons (-1.5%), copper in concentrate - 126.9 thousand tons (+9.4 %.

In monetary terms, Kazakh enterprises produced precious and non-ferrous metals worth 1.512 billion tenge (about $3.3 billion).

As reported, enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2021 produced 66.611 tons of refined gold, which is 4.6% less than a year earlier. Production of refined silver decreased by 2.7% to 996.0 tons, refined raw unalloyed copper decreased by 4.7% to 458.066 thousand tons.

The production of raw and semi-finished gold or in the form of powder last year amounted to 114.690 tons (-2.9%), silver - 1.018 thousand tons (-1.6%), copper in concentrate - 466.8 thousand tons (- 8.9%.
