China's non-ferrous metals production grew steadily last year, official data showed.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Informatization of the PRC, in 2020 the production volume of 10 types of non-ferrous metals reached 61.68 million tons, which is 5.5% more than in 2019.

The top 10 non-ferrous metals include copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, nickel, tin, antimony, mercury, magnesium and titanium.

According to the report, in 2020, the average copper price rose 2.1% to 48,752 yuan (approximately US $ 7,571.24) per tonne, while the average aluminum price rose 1.7% to 14,193 yuan per ton.

Total imports and exports of non-ferrous metals last year reached US $ 142.7 billion, an increase of 7.7% year on year.
