In January-April, car exports from China grew by almost 40%

In the first four months of this year, China's auto exports rose 39.4% year-on-year, according to data from the China Automobile Industry Association.

According to the association, a total of 723 thousand cars were exported during this period, in particular, exports of passenger cars grew by 39.1% year on year to 551 thousand units.

The data showed that in April this year, the export of cars amounted to 141 thousand units, which is 6.6% less than in the same period last year.

This trend was reversed by strong and rapid growth in the country's new energy vehicle market, with sales up 44.6% year-on-year.
