Polish rebar prices rose weekly on Friday, April 11, supporting a seasonal revival in demand in the domestic market and limiting imports, sources told Fastmarkets.

Most Polish factories sought to sell May rebar production at 2,700 zlotys ($703) per ton on CPT terms, with only one small supplier heard offering the material at 2,600 zlotys per ton, the CPT sources said.

Offers from a small supplier are not considered to point to a broader market because it does not provide a full range of fittings, but it still had some impact on the Polish market, Fastmarkets understands.

Most market participants estimate the level of 2650-2,700 zlotys per ton of checkpoint traded on the market.
