The Polish division of the largest steel company in the world has completed an investment program worth PLN 8 million for the modernization of a pickling line at a cold rolling mill in Krakow.

In October last year, ArcelorMittal Poland decided to permanently close the raw materials part of the Krakow Metallurgical Plant, that is, the blast furnace and the steel plant. There are other divisions at the plant, such as a coke plant and a processing workshop - two rolling mills, a galvanizing and sheet metal painting line, in which the company has invested PLN 500 million over the past five years. Steel for his needs is supplied from the steel plant in Dбbrowa-Gornicha, where the raw materials are concentrated on the basis of two blast furnaces operating there.
