some media reported that the Prosecutor General's office of Ukraine is investigating a scheme of tax evasion in Inguletsky mining and processing integrated plant (Ingulets GOK, InGOK), part of Metinvest group. According to the press service of the Metinvest group, this information is incorrect. Ingulets GOK – conscientious taxpayer working exclusively in the framework of the Ukrainian legislation, said in the company of Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky.

"the Criminal case referred to in the media, was closed by the resolution of the investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National police in the Odessa region of November 26, 2018. The enterprise became a victim of circumstances, namely misconduct on the part of the unscrupulous contractor," according to statement of Metinvest.

the company explained that in December 2019, the Supreme Court issued a ruling not in favor of Ingulets GOK, as one of the participants of the relationship with the contractor, who was adjudicated upon "fictitious entrepreneurship".

Despite the disagreement of the Enterprise adopted by the Supreme Court ruling, the company, given the established by the Constitution of Ukraine, the binding nature of execution of court decisions, in full repaid amount of tax debt in this case.

"currently the conflict is completely exhausted, so after the fact the materials appearing in the media group feels manipulative and false: they are distributed without adherence to basic journalistic standards, involving input from all participants in the situation, in this case, the comment of representatives of Ingulets GOK either of Metinvest Group. We believe that these materials cause reputational harm both to the Group and one of the most important export-oriented enterprises of Ukraine and intend to defend his honor in court," warned Metinvest.

InGOK is part of the Dutch mining and metallurgical holding Metinvest B.V. (Metinvest), major shareholders are JSC "System capital Management" Rinat Akhmetov (SCM, Donetsk, 71,24%) and the group of companies "Smart-holding" Vadim Novinsky (from 23.76%).
