In order to control the production and reserves of coal at the coal mining enterprises subordinate to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, an inventory of the remains of coal in the warehouses of the mines of the state company "Lvovugol" was carried out.
At the request of the ministry, the head of the state-owned enterprise organized from September 6 to September 7 instrumental survey of emergency coal warehouses of separate warehouses - mines (that is, conducting surveying measurements of coal residues in order to establish the actual volume of coal that is in these warehouses).
As a result of the audit, it was revealed that the total balance of coal shortage at the State Enterprise "Lvovugol" is 17,585 tons. The Ministry of Energy appealed to the National Police with a statement about the possible commission of a criminal offense on the fact of embezzlement of state property.
“This is the first such test in preparation for the heating season. We turned to law enforcement agencies to identify and prosecute those responsible. We will make every effort to control and ensure the efficient operation of sectoral state-owned enterprises and prevent abuse, ”said Deputy Energy Minister Alexei Kurakov.
It is worth noting that the "Instruction on accounting for mined coal and finished coal products at mines, open-pit mines and processing plants of the Ministry of Coal Industry of Ukraine" determines that persons guilty of violations of this Instruction are subject to disciplinary and material liability in accordance with the established procedure.
Persons who have made the registration of the volumes of production of raw coal and the release of enrichment products, as well as deliberate distortion of reporting data, are criminally liable in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.
