Russia continues to purchase over 40% of oil and gas equipment abroad

In Russia, domestic equipment for the oil and gas sector accounts for 60%. This was announced by the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

“We have created a system for financing the full cycle of development of oil and gas engineering products: first we finance R&D, then the launch of mass production through a concessional loan, and then we give a discount to the consumer, stimulating demand,” the minister explained at the profile meeting.

He called on manufacturers to maintain their export potential and, after receiving a positive review of equipment in Russia, “move abroad”.

Manufacturers of the oil and gas engineering industry have confirmed that they are successfully implementing projects for the development and implementation of rotary-controlled systems, hydraulic fracturing equipment, offshore exploration equipment, underwater production complex equipment, catalysts and process equipment for oil refining, as well as LNG equipment.

It was possible to implement them thanks to the built-in system of interaction between the customer and the manufacturer within the framework of the Scientific and Technical Council (STC) for the development of oil and gas equipment of the interdepartmental working group to reduce the dependence of the Russian fuel and energy complex on equipment imports.
