For 15 days, specialists from the repair departments of MGOKA and contractors carried out comprehensive maintenance, replacement and repair of the main components and assemblies: conveyor belts, smoke pumps, compensators, pumping equipment and roller screens. The work was carried out around the clock, about 200 people were working at the OM-3 site at the same time, united in 10 brigades.
Special attention is paid to the replacement of the refractory lining of the inner surface of the kiln, where the temperature during pellet production reaches almost 1300 °C. The oil pipelines were also cleaned, which supply grease to the firing trolleys that deliver the pellets to the furnace.
Timely and high-quality repairs ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of the equipment, prolong its service life and increase the technological stability of production, said Anton Zakharov, Managing Director of Mikhailovsky GOK.
"We strive to carry out repairs with maximum efficiency – through detailed planning, clear assignment of tasks and the use of digital tools, while unconditionally complying with all occupational safety requirements."A comprehensive maintenance and repair program is being implemented at all Metalloinvest enterprises. Major repairs of hot briquetted iron production plants at Lebedinsky GOK (GBZH-1 and GBZH-2) and two metallization plants at the Oskol Electrometallurgical Combine pelletizing and metallization plant were completed earlier.
