About 400 specialists will be involved for this purpose. The key contractors are the specialized repair company Norilsk Nickel and Pechengastroy. To shorten the repair period, the contractors quickly regrouped forces from the Kola production site to Norilsk.

Scheduled routine maintenance work has begun at the Nadezhdinsky Metallurgical Plant named after B.
I. Kolesnikov on the weighted melting furnace No. 1 and peripheral equipment of the first technological line.
The scope of work includes a full range of processing line equipment: from the conversion of concentrate preparation and drying to gas cooling and exhaust gas evacuation systems. During the repair, work will be carried out on spray dryers, a drum dryer concentrate complex, two electric furnaces, a heat recovery boiler and electrostatic precipitators.
Regular routine maintenance is an integral part of the life cycle of modern metallurgical production, said Vitaly Muravyov, Director of the Nadezhdinsky Metallurgical Plant.
"This planned approach allows us to maintain the technically sound condition of the entire equipment complex, from the head unit to peripheral systems. This is the foundation for trouble-free and stable operation of the production line."The company clarified that the total planned duration of the repair, including the heating stage of the suspended melting furnace, will be no more than five days. This minimizes the impact on overall production performance.
The peculiarity of the work carried out is its highest intensity and concentration on the result in the shortest possible time, added Oleg Landyshev, Deputy Director of the Nadezhdinsky Plant for Industrial Asset Management.
"We have built a clear logistics and coordinate the efforts of hundreds of specialists and contractors to ensure maximum reliability and efficiency of the equipment after it reaches normal operation. This tactic of planned but short-term repairs allows us to flexibly manage production assets, constantly maintaining their level of technical readiness."The Nadezhdinsky Metallurgical Plant named after B.
I. Kolesnikov processes nickel concentrates obtained at the Talnakh and Norilsk processing plants. The finished product of the enterprise is copper-nickel feinstein, which is sent for further processing to the Kola MMC.
The suspended melting furnace is an autogenic melting furnace for processing dry sulfide concentrates. The melting of raw materials in the furnace occurs when the flow of a mixture of crushed raw materials and a gaseous oxidizer (oxygen-enriched air) moves, the particles of the raw material are supplied in a sprayed form and react with the oxidizer,
