Russia and Belarus failed to agree on conditions of deliveries of oil and gas by 2020 after the end of operating agreements that expire on January 1. At the meeting with the leadership of the petrochemical complex of the country, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has ordered to find alternatives to Russian oil in the coming days to ensure delivery, reports the press-service of the President.
"the Head of state instructed to provide in the coming days the supply of oil from alternative sources. First and foremost, on the supply rail from ports on the Baltic sea, as well as the use of alternative supplies to the Druzhba pipeline", — is spoken in the message.
however, Lukashenko ordered to complete the negotiations with Russia for the supply of hydrocarbons and to conclude the necessary contracts with Moscow to ensure the smooth operation of two Belarusian refineries - Mozyr oil refinery and Naftan.

On the eve of Russian oil supplies to Belarus, as well as issues of supply and transit of gas in a telephone conversation discussed the presidents Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, but the specific arrangements they have reached.
Minsk insists on lowering prices to levels close to domestic. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said that to solve the issues concerning oil and gas, Moscow and Minsk have so far not succeeded, however, urged not to discuss the "apocalyptic scenario".
