On January 31, 2022, at the initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, a meeting was held between the Ministers of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov and the Republic of Poland Andrzej Adamczyk in the presence of the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and State Secretary of the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland Kumoch.

During the meeting, the Polish multinational corporation KGHM, operating in the production of silver and copper, expressed its readiness to start negotiations on the joint development of non-ferrous metal deposits.
The State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine reminded Polish investors that one of the ways to get a subsoil plot for use is to participate in electronic auctions.
“The State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine prepared and published in the Investment Atlas of the subsoil user, in particular, objects with deposits of hydrocarbons and non-ferrous metals. These are more than 70 subsoil plots. The mechanism for placing lots is transparent and understandable for subsoil users. Anyone can initiate a subsoil plot from the atlas or offer any other object for bidding,” Roman Opimakh, chairman of the service, said.
Investors can also enter existing farm-in subsoil projects. The condition is the acquisition of a part of the company that is the licensee. Such a mechanism may be of interest to enterprises that experience difficulties in developing subsoil plots due to a lack of funds and technologies, and an international partner will offer capital and experience.
