Ukrainian Railways plans to hold a total of 65 auctions for the sale of scrap metal on February 15-16, 2022. In the ProZorro.Sale system, Ukrzaliznytsia put up for auction on February 15, 2022 17 lots (scrap types 1, 3, 4, 4 (axles), 500 according to DSTU 4121-2002) with a total weight of 14.07 thousand tons. The total starting cost of the said scrap is UAH 90.68 million. 48 lots (scrap types 5, 26, 28, 34, 301, 303, 305, 313, 322, 361, 500, 501, 502, 503, 5 -2002) with a total weight of 32.72 thousand tons were put up for auction on February 16, 2022. tons. The total starting cost of the said scrap is UAH 206.9 million.
State Enterprise Derzhzovnishhinform indicates interesting features of future trading, including the sale of scrap metal in small lots and the choice of the Bukovina Universal Exchange as the main platform for the sale of scrap metal (58 out of 65 lots are planned to be sold on this site) .
In addition, Derzhzovnishinform stated that the starting prices of Ukrzaliznytsya auctions for the main types of ferrous scrap are lower than the current situation on the Ukrainian market by at least 1,000 hryvnia per ton.
They noted that if the growth of the starting price is limited to a 1% step at the auction, then the prices obtained as a result of the auction will be significantly lower than the market ones.
