Aircraft division of Bombardier in Northern Ireland will be sold in the near future, American companies Spirt AeroSystems. Canadian aerospace company put the Irish "daughter" on sale in may as part of the reorganization of its business.
Bombardier sells its commercial aerospace assets to focus on producing trains and business jets: the current selling will be the final chord of a series of sales.
Spirt AeroSystems is based in Kansas and was originally founded as a subsidiary of aerospace company Boeing.
Earlier this year, Spirit said it wants to increase the supply to Airbus, to increase production capacity and get more military orders.
After the deal with Bombardier, it will greatly advance in their plans and will hold strong position in the supply chain for Airbus.
Bombardier, based in Montreal, has more than 68 000 employees in 28 countries.
Plant in Belfast manufactures wings for the Airbus and is the largest manufacturer of high technology in Northern Ireland.
