Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk wrote a letter of resignation and handed it to the head of state with the right of submission to Parliament. He reported about it in Facebook.
on Facebook of the presidential administration Vladimir Zelensky announced, that his resignation was received, but the decision on it will be announced later.
"the President will consider said application. About results of consideration of the Office of the President of Ukraine will be reported separately", - stated in the message.
According to Goncharuk, he has taken the step to "remove any doubts in our respect and trust to the President."
"In the last days all of you have witnessed the events unfolding around the fusion network files, assembled from fragments of the records of the meetings of the government. Their content artificially creates the idea that I and my team do not respect a President who is our political leader," - said Goncharuk.
Recall that according to the law, until the fall of the Prime Minister Goncharuk has immunity from dismissal, and to dismiss his Parliament.
