Ministry of energy and the environmental protection of Ukraine is considering in the spring months to reduce the share of nuclear generation in the energy balance, because from April, will significantly increase the amount of generation from renewable energy sources (RES), which would complicate the situation with the balancing of the power system with a large share of not shunting of nuclear energy. On 3 February, was broadcast on national television said Minister of energy and environmental protection Alexey Orzhel.
"We already have and look to balance the output of atomic blocks (those cheap, public companies) due to the fact that in the month of April will be more sun and more production (RES - ed.)", he said.
the Possibility of limiting nuclear generation also commented on attending the channel's Deputy head of parliamentary Committee on energy, housing and utilities Andrei Gerus.
"We can come to a situation when we will have a large amount of electricity from renewables and we have (in order to keep them in work) to stop the atomic units of our state "Energoatom" ...
