ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has renewed the fleet of the enterprise's motor transport department. A new heavy truck based on Mercedes has started work - a truck tractor, which the company acquired together with a semitrailer with a carrying capacity of 60 tons for the transportation of bulky and super heavy loads. The total cost of the vehicles is almost UAH 3.8 million. The new acquisition will expand the possibilities of transportation, including oversized cargo, which is important for ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, where major overhauls are regularly carried out and new industrial facilities are being built. The heavyweight's route will run between the industrial areas of the mining department, agglomeration, blast-furnace, repair shops. The tractor has a modern running system, a powerful engine, improved braking system, climate control, and on-board electronics, which greatly facilitates the driver's work.
The technical parameters of the semitrailer allow you to transport heavy equipment and non-standard cargo on it. Its main working base is 9 meters long and can be extended up to 14 meters. The semi-trailer is equipped with iron chains for securing and securing loads for safe transportation.
Earlier, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih purchased two MAZ dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 25 tons each and a MAZ flatbed truck equipped with a cargo platform with a crane-manipulator installation to ensure the operation of production sites. The company also launched a new 5-tonne Maximal FD 50 T-M forklift. The company allocated UAH 1.5 million for its acquisition. This is a special transport designed for lifting, moving, unloading and loading pallets using forks - special attachments. In production, it will mainly help unload pallets with refractory bricks, which are used for lining converters. Among the novelties of the mining department of the enterprise are the KrAZ off-road vehicle and the new MAZ combined road vehicle. The renewal of technological vehicles will continue in 2021.
