Dneprospetsstal hosted the first stage of immunization against COVID-19 with Covishield by AstraZeneca. According to the press service of the plant, it covered the medical staff of the plant sanatorium and was held with the assistance of the administration of the enterprise.
“The importance of this event is evidenced by the incidence rate, the severity of the course of the disease, and, unfortunately, by the number of deaths from COVID-19 in Ukraine. Vaccination has always been a unique opportunity to resist epidemics, to reduce the rate of development of the disease, to protect against the severe consequences of infection. At the request of the Regional Laboratory Center, a mobile team was sent to the sanatorium, which informed the staff about the drug, possible reactions of the body, assessed the state of health of the workers and carried out vaccinations, ”says the chief doctor of the health resort Andrei Belikov.
Andrey Nikolaevich was the first to set an example, and after him the team made their conscious choice.
“The epidemic is not abating not only in Ukraine, but throughout the world. To resist the disease, it is important to develop herd immunity, and vaccination is the only way to do this, ”senior nurse Anna Raksha commented on her decision to join immunization.
According to the press service of Dneprospetsstal, now all vaccinated are doing well.
