On July 11, 2014, the US Department of Commerce announced the end of an anti-dumping investigation into the import of threaded pipes to America from 9 countries, including Ukraine. Simultaneously with the announcement of duties, the US Department of Commerce announced the signing of an agreement to suspend the collection of duties on the import of Ukrainian rifled pipes.

On July 10, 2019, the US Department of Commerce terminated the agreement on duty-free supply of Ukrainian threaded pipes. The agency also ordered the introduction of duties at a rate of 7.47 percent, established following the results of an anti-dumping investigation against a number of countries that import steel pipes, including Ukraine.

As part of the agreement with the United States, Ukrainian companies supplied oil and gas pipes at fair market prices, which were coordinated with the United States Department of Commerce.

For the first time, the Agreement on the suspension of duties was signed in September 2014, when Ukraine was in extremely difficult economic conditions.

An anti-dumping investigation against Ukrainian pipe manufacturers was initiated by a group of American manufacturers.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe in 2018 resumed the supply of welded pipes to the American market after a long break. As the press service of the company said, the order book for this range of pipe products for 2018-19 is about 10 thousand tons.

Interpipe is a Ukrainian industrial company, a manufacturer of steel pipes and railway wheels. The company's products are supplied to more than 80 countries of the world through a network of sales offices located in key markets of the CIS, the Middle East, North America and Europe. In 2018, Interpipe sold 857 thousand tons of finished products, including 189 thousand tons of railway products. Railway products are sold under the KLW brand.
