PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" in January-May 2021 increased steel production by 1.4% - to 2.03 million tons, but reduced the production of general rolled products, according to operational data, by 2.6% compared to the same last year - up to 1.92 million tons
According to a representative of the enterprise, iron smelting during this period increased by 10.9%, up to 2.32 thousand tons. At the same time, sinter production increased by 7.1% - up to 4.07 million tons.
About 400 thousand tons of rolled metal, 430 thousand tons of steel, 490 thousand tons of pig iron, 900 thousand tons of sinter were produced in May.
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih at the end of 2020 reduced the production of general rolled products by 3.8% compared to the previous year - to 4.49 million tons, steel by 12.1% - to 4.68 million tons, pig iron - by 6.9%, to 4.95 million tons. At the same time, sinter production decreased by 7.9% - to 9 million tons.
