“Planned, painstaking work to strengthen the cargo direction will certainly give a positive result. Over the past two days, the daily load increased by more than 11% versus June 2021 and more than 16% versus the first half of this year, ”said the head of the railway company.
Ivan Yurik also once again emphasized that Ukrzaliznytsia is ready to fully satisfy the country's economy's need for rail freight traffic, has the necessary locomotive reserve and continues to seek all opportunities for the powerful development of rail freight traffic.
Recall that Ukrzaliznytsya improved its cargo performance in the first half of the year and June 2021. So, in June 2021, the average daily load of cargo amounted to 721 thousand tons, which is 9% more than 2020 and 5% higher than the pre-epidemic year of 2019. In turn, the freight car turnover indicator in June 2021 accelerated by 6% versus June 2020 and by 23.5% versus June 2019 - to 7.07 days.
