Ukraine in January-July of this year increased the export of ferrous scrap by 19.44 times compared to the same period last year - up to 334.589 thousand tons, including 103.618 thousand tons of scrap metal was exported from the country in July.
According to statistics released by the State Customs Service (GTS) on Wednesday, in monetary terms, the export of scrap metal increased 27.42 times - up to 122.731 million dollars.
As reported, in 2020 Ukraine reduced the export of scrap metal by 15.1% compared to the previous year - to 35.824 thousand tons, in monetary terms, exports decreased by 19.4% - to $ 9.491 million.
