Kharkiv "Turboatom" manufactured and shipped a "block-modular" condenser with pipe systems made of corrosion-resistant material of the K-1000-60 /1500-2 turbine for power unit No. 5 of the Zaporozhye NPP.
The new condenser will increase the reliability of the entire power unit by improving the water-chemical regime of the condensate-feed path, and will also allow the turbine unit to operate at its rated power when the cooling water temperature changes, increase power and extend the life of the power unit.
For the Zaporizhzhya NPP, which consists of 6 power units with a capacity of 1000 MW, this will be the fourth new condenser out of six installed at the NPP, which will replace Turboatom. Now new capacitors are successfully operating at power units 2, 3, 4, and the enterprise is working on the manufacture of a capacitor for unit 1.
