As of the beginning of May, the Kharkiv enterprise has already fully manufactured all modules and other components of the capacitor for power unit No. 5 of ZNPP. Now the shipment of the case No. 2 of the condenser modules is underway. Case No. 3, consisting of 6 condenser modules, has been prepared for shipment, which will be carried out at the beginning of June this year.
Let us remind you that earlier 6 modules of building No. 1, condensate accumulators, water lids and chambers and other units were shipped to ZNPP.
Under the terms of the contract for the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Turboatom will manufacture and supply a "block-modular" condenser with a stainless steel pipe system, which will replace the condenser with a copper-nickel alloy pipe system of the K-1000-60 /1500- turbine 2 with a capacity of 1000 MW. The new equipment will allow the turbine unit to operate at its rated power when the cooling water temperature changes, increase power and extend the life of the power unit.
