On September 22, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supported the proposal of the State Space Agency of Ukraine to reorganize state-owned enterprises in the space industry by transforming them into joint-stock companies, 100% of which are owned by the state.
We are talking about four enterprises of the State Enterprise "Design Bureau" Yuzhnoye "them. M.K. Yangelya ”, State Enterprise“ Kommunar Association ”, State Enterprise“ Production Association “Kievpribor” and State Enterprise “Production Association Yuzhny Machine-Building Plant named after A. M. Makarov”. The purpose of such a transformation is to provide a systematic approach to solving the issue of introducing a modern form of government management of corporate rights of enterprises in the space industry.
The adoption of this decision, in the opinion of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleg Urusky, will increase the efficiency of management and facilitate the attraction of capital, which will improve the financial condition of enterprises and increase competitiveness.
“I hope that the state holding company Aerospace Systems of Ukraine will soon appear in Ukraine, which will include reformed enterprises of the space industry,” said the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.
Note that at the beginning of 2021, the Government approved the Concept of the National Target Scientific and Technical Space Program of Ukraine for 2021-2025, which provides for the creation of an effective system for managing space activities, in particular, the introduction of a modern mechanism of state regulation and self-regulation.
