Today, at the State Space Agency (SCA) of Ukraine, chaired by the acting The SCA Chairman, Scientific and Technical Council Chairman Mykhailo Lev held a meeting of the SCA Scientific and Technical Council on the topic "Discussion of the main provisions of the National Target Scientific and Technical Space Program of Ukraine for 2021-2025.
The meeting was attended by the heads and representatives of the profile leading enterprises of the space industry of Ukraine, namely: JSC "Khartron", SE "KB" Yuzhnoye "them. M.K. Yangelya ", SE" PO YUMZ im. A.N. Makarov ", KP SPS" Arsenal ", the National Center for Control and Testing of Space Facilities, the Space Research Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and DKA and others.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry for Strategic Industries of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development, the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of Materials Science and Welding named after E.O. Paton, PGZ-SSAU and the Public Council at the DKA.
6 key tasks of the Program aimed at the effective development of the industry have been identified, which include: the implementation of space activities in the interests of national security and defense, space observations of the Earth, the introduction of space technologies in the domestic market of services, the creation of rocket and space technology, fundamental and applied space research, and legal, scientific, methodological and information support of the Program activities.
The meeting participants considered the proposals of the Working Group on the main provisions of the National Target Scientific and Technical Space Program of Ukraine for 2021-2025.
The List of Tasks of the National Target Scientific and Technical Space Program of Ukraine for 2021-2025 was approved and a decision was made to approve in general the activities of the National Target Scientific and Technical Space Program of Ukraine for 2021-2025 with their completion within a week.
Also during the meeting, a discussion of the project "National Space Strategy of Ukraine until 2030" took place. The participants of the scientific and technological revolution supported the initiative to create an expert commission on promising space projects under the STC SCA, and it was recommended that the SCA, together with the IKI NAS of Ukraine, develop a Regulation on the expert commission on promising space projects.
