The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has begun consideration of the case on state aid No. 500-26.15 /38-21-DD KP City Football Club Metallurg. This was announced on the committee's website on Monday.
"Based on the results of consideration of the message on new individual state aid of the Department of Sports, Family and Youth of the Zaporozhye City Council, received on the State Aid Portal under the number in the database 59933 (input No. 1330-PDD /1 dated 09.06.2021), in The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has begun consideration of the case on state aid No. 500-26.15 /38-21-DD to conduct an in-depth analysis of the admissibility of state aid for competition in accordance with part one of Article 11 of the Law of Ukraine on State Aid to Business Entities, ”the AMCU said.
The AMCU said that the Department of Sports, Family and Youth of the Zaporozhye City Council during 2022 - 2024. plans to finance in the form of a subsidy from the municipal enterprise "City Football Club" Metallurg "for the development of physical culture and sports in the city, creating conditions for attracting large segments of the city's population to mass sports, as well as for promoting a healthy lifestyle.
MFC "Metallurg" is a football club from the city of Zaporozhye. Founded in 2017 at the initiative of the city authorities represented by Vladimir Viktorovich Buryak. In the 2020/21 season he plays in the Second League.
