All over the world: ESAB has started cooperation with the Club of welders in Kirov

In January of this year, ESAB, one of the world leaders in the production of equipment and consumables for welding and cutting metals, began cooperation with a professional club of welders in the city of Kirov. The Welders Club is a professional community that has been developing and conducting educational programs for the training and retraining of qualified welders on professional equipment for three years.
On the basis of the Kirov center there is a One-on-One club, whose main task is to improve the quality of work, productivity and employment of welders at their place of residence. For two months, specialists are trained in argon-arc, manual – arc and semi-automatic welding - up to the level of NAKS (National Welding Control Agency) according to the permits of NGDO, OHNVP, KO, SK, GO. In addition, "cadets" get the opportunity for life membership in the club.
"We took care of training specialists back in 2007, when it became obvious that few specialists were coming to replace the generation of high-class welders, and invaluable experience was disappearing into oblivion. Today, more than a dozen workers from all over Russia apply to our Club every month. They find like-minded people here, gain practical knowledge, become part of the union of welding specialists, share useful information with each other. The support of such a large company as ESAB takes our work on the training of "cadets" to a qualitatively new level and motivates for further development," comments Igor Terentyev, founder and head of the Club of Welders in Kirov.
The center has a software and production product with its own methodology for accelerated training of practical skills of welders. The processes are divided into stages of short operations when teaching a student - according to the method of "divided line of work performed". If necessary, students can continue their studies after the end of 2 months - until they receive a high qualification of the 5th category.
"It is difficult to overestimate the importance of such projects, since the industrial sector needs highly qualified specialists no less than reliable professional equipment. That is why our company pays special attention to projects related to personnel training and professional development. Such cooperation lays the foundations for the future stable development of manufacturing companies," said Dmitry Kuraksa, Managing Director of ESAB in Russia and the CIS.
In January 2022, the Welder's Club in Kirov was able to certify specialists in accordance with the standards of the international certification of welders.
