"Holding Cable Alliance" (unites cable assets of UMMC) presented its products at the II International Exhibition "Mining. Metallurgy. Generation". The exhibition was held from September 25 to September 27, 2019 in Novosibirsk and brought together representatives of the three most important industries on one business site.
At the KhKA stand were presented cable products for the mining industry manufactured at the Sibkabel plant, as well as control cables, power cables of the HoldCab trademark, etc.
Today the Tomsk enterprise produces many modifications of products for miners. Among them are both standard designs and designs with improved physical and mechanical characteristics and increased service life (HoldMie trademark).
The latter include, for example, the new excavator cable KGpET-KhL for open pit works. Its carrying capacity is 15-20% more (current loads - up to 187 amperes) than its predecessor. And the shell made of polychloroprene rubber provides high flexibility and durability of the design.
“We can produce it with both black and colored shells. The latter is more visible on the cut surface, so the risk of accidental damage to the cable is eliminated. This is very important in mine workings, "explained Anatoly Neifeld, head of workshop No. 6 of Sibkabel JSC.
In addition, Sibkabel, together with scientists from the Tomsk Scientific Cable Institute (NIKI), is one of the first developed and produced a mine cable according to the new requirements of Rostekhnadzor. According to them, the cable supplying mobile machines and mechanisms should be automatically de-energized in case of violation of the integrity of the sheath. Previously, this happened if the insulation was touched and there was a high risk of a short circuit.
Among other advantages of the KGETUKShm cable, one can single out high flexibility and increased service life (up to 1.5 years). The product does not spread combustion and can be operated at temperatures from -40 to +50 degrees.
“Participation in such events allows us to demonstrate our developments and production potential to existing and potential customers, to confirm the company's image as a leading domestic developer and quality cable manufacturer. Many of the designs presented at the exhibition were developed within the framework of the import substitution program and are improved analogues of imported products, "said Konstantin Kharitonov, head of the department for promoting promising groups of the KPP LLC KhKA.
