Seven TMK employees became laureates of the Cherepanov Prize.

Employees of four enterprises of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) became laureates of the prestigious Cherepanov Prize, which is awarded for outstanding achievements in engineering and innovation, contribution to scientific and technological progress and the development of modern production technologies. The award ceremony took place at the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2025.

Honorary awards were presented to metallurgists by Denis Pasler, Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region. The award was given to the chief power engineer of Pervouralsky Novotrubny Plant (PNTZ) Andrey Blokhin for the development and application of domestic reagents and pumping equipment in the AQA Genesis treatment plant complex; Ilgis Mullahmetov, Head of the Central Factory Laboratory of Automation and Mechanization of the Seversk Pipe Plant (STZ), for modernization and automation of production processes, contribution to ensuring environmental safety; leading Process Engineer at the Sinar Pipe Plant's Laboratory of Metallology and Heat Treatment (SinTZ) Elena Solovyova for the development and development of pipe production technology for the oil and gas industry.

In addition, for the first time, the Cherepanov Prize was awarded to the creative team of the Volga Pipe Plant (VTZ) consisting of four people for the development of new technologies for smelting and casting continuously cast billets, rolling and pressing pipes from hard-to-form steel grades. The company was nominated for the award on the recommendation of the Russian Academy of Engineering.

"Every year, employees of TMK enterprises become laureates of the Cherepanov Prize, which indicates the high level of engineering in the company and the desire for its continuous development. Awards are given for advanced solutions in various fields: ecology, expansion of the range, productivity improvement and improvement of product quality. TMK will continue to support innovative developments and motivate employees for further achievements, strengthening its technological leadership and contributing to the growth of the country's economy," said Igor Pyshmintsev, TMK's Director of Research.

The award was established in the Sverdlovsk Region in 1997 by the Cherepanov Foundation for the Promotion of Engineering Activities in order to strengthen the prestige of engineering and technical work. In 2024, three employees of Ural TMK enterprises were awarded this honorary award.
