The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) took part in the All-Russian Personnel Forum, during which representatives of the company spoke about building systematic work in the field of industrial tourism development and shared their experience in implementing mentoring practices.
As part of the round table "Corporate Communications: Promoting a company is promoting a profession", Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications at TMK Fedor Klimkin noted that in recent years, TMK's industrial tourism sector has received a serious boost to development. The company's enterprises form their own tourist routes: excursions reflect the specifics of production, the history of factories and the specifics of the technologies used.
At the same time, the approach to conducting excursions depends on the target audience: adults are offered more facts and technical details, schoolchildren are offered game and associative formats, teenagers are given the opportunity to test equipment and virtual simulators, and students are immersed in real production processes and information about career paths.
"Industrial tourism at TMK is considered as an element of strategic communications and is included in the Strategy for Sustainable Development. This area helps the company to build a dialogue with the regions of its presence, strengthen its reputation, and attract a new generation of personnel," said Fyodor Klimkin.
During the session "Building a talent development system", Maria Prikazchikova, Head of recruitment at TMK enterprises, stressed that mentoring plays a key role in employee adaptation. Experienced colleagues introduce newcomers to the professional environment and work processes. This approach ensures the continuity of knowledge transfer, maintains a safety culture, and promotes timely updating of staff skills in response to changes in technological processes.
"Each newcomer is assigned an experienced mentor who accompanies him at all stages of adaptation, helps him master technology, corporate culture and the specifics of the production process. This creates a stable "knowledge transfer chain" that allows us to preserve accumulated expertise and develop new competencies," stressed Maria Prikazchikova.
The All-Russian Personnel Forum was held in Moscow for the first time and was organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation. It is a platform for discussing the development of the labor market, the vocational education system, measures to promote employment and working conditions. The Forum brought together federal and regional authorities, major employers, members of professional qualifications boards, and business associations.
