Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) shared its experience in creating a personnel development and training system at the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM. Belarus". Olga Rud, Director of Customer Program Development at TMK2U Corporate University, spoke about the specifics of personnel management in a manufacturing company.

At the session "Personnel as the basis for industrial stability and efficiency: skills and retraining against scarcity," Olga Rud noted that the training of industrial personnel today requires the use of innovative approaches, taking into account staff motivation, and not just training in the usual format. Thus, TMK has created all conditions for the development and honing of professional skills, including within the framework of large-scale corporate events such as the championship of working professions "Games of Masters" and the Youth Scientific and Practical Conference, the central event of the large—scale annual corporate forum "Horizons".

TMK's personnel training system also involves the development of competencies in related areas, which meets the needs of the modern production process and opens up wide opportunities for employees to move horizontally, change professional roles, and build unique flexible development trajectories within the company.

"A specialist in an industrial enterprise must have cross-functional work skills, since the modern production process requires contiguity of functions for almost all employees. At TMK, these conditions are built into the corporate professional standard of each position, which includes knowledge and skills in the main and related professions. This approach shortens the period of retraining, which, together with a unified remuneration system, facilitates the rotation process. Thus, TMK's training mechanisms and HR policy create an environment where employees can choose the optimal development trajectory, and the company can respond promptly to market changes," said Olga Rud.

International Industrial Exhibition "INNOPROM. Belarus" is held in Minsk as part of the Big Industrial Week and brings together representatives of various industries, innovative companies, investors and government agencies. This year, more than 160 enterprises from the Republic of Belarus took part in the exhibition, the Russian exposition included the stands of more than 200 companies, and more than 60 organizations from other countries were also represented.
