Taganrog metallurgical works (TAGMET), part of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), was attended by Governor of Rostov region Vasily Golubev. During the visit he was accompanied by the Deputy Governor – Minister of industry and energy of Igor Sorokin, the head of administration of Taganrog, Andrey Lisitsky, managing Director of Tagmet Sergei Bilan.
during the visit To the melting shops of the Tagmet Governor acquainted with the principles of stands of horizontal heating of steel ladles, installed in January of this year as part of the modernization of the enterprise. Stands allowed to increase durability of the internal coating and almost 4 times to reduce the time of heating the steel ladles, which significantly reduced impact on the environment. The economic effect from the introduction of new equipment amounted to approximately 50 million rubles per year.
Vasily Golubev presented the main environmental projects Tagmet, in particular, introduced the factory system of water recycling, which helped reduce water consumption by 18%, to reuse the waste water purified in the processing cycle of the enterprise, excluding, thus, the discharge of waste water in the Taganrog Bay. The Governor also spoke on the plant in June of this year, environmental campaign of the release in the river don, more than 25 thousand fingerlings of Russian sturgeon to restore populations of sturgeon in the Azov sea basin.
In the framework of his visit Vasily Golubev also visited the new sports complex of Tagmet "Steel", which includes a games room and a gym, hall for table tennis, and recreation center. The complex can simultaneously engage up to 70 people. He also will be the basic platform for the training of the women's team table tennis "TMK-TAGMET".
