OJSC “BMZ” - the management company of the “BMK” holding, according to operational data of work for 8 months of this year, produced and shipped to consumers over 62 thousand tons of rebar in bundles. The achieved figure is more than 25% higher than the level of 2019.
The key consumers of rebar in the riots are construction organizations in Israel, which accounts for over 95% of factory exports of these products. At present, BMZ, thanks to the support of its long-standing partner, Duferco, has a long-term contract for the supply to Israel of reel weldable fittings, micro-alloyed with vanadium, steel grade S-500WC from No. 8 to No. 16 inclusive. The volume of its implementation within the framework of these agreements in January-July 2020 exceeded $ 24 million.
& bsp; & bsp; Reinforcing bars at BMZ are produced in section rolling shop No. 2. It is noteworthy that initially the maximum diameter provided by the technology of the Italian company Daieli was No. 14, but in the course of joint work of the plant's technological services specialists, profile No. 16 was also mastered. The improvement made allowed the plant to increase the volume of production and export of this type of metal products. The key advantage of S500W grade rebar is its seismic resistance and weldability. According to experts, the use of such reinforcement due to its characteristics can significantly reduce the consumption of steel during construction.
& bsp; & bsp; BMZ's entry into the Israeli market became possible after the certification for compliance with the requirements of the Israeli standard SI4466-3: 2013, which confirms the high quality of Belarusian metal. The production of rebar fittings at the plant is also certified according to British, German and Swedish standards - class B500B. It should be noted that the requirements of the Israeli standard are considered more stringent. They imply not only compliance with the range of mechanical properties, but also ensuring their stability. A number of other characteristics are also carefully monitored, and the number of tested samples is several times greater than for conventional reinforcing bars.
