At the Uchalinsky GOK (an enterprise of the raw materials complex of the UMMC), a meeting was held with the head of the regional executive committee of the All-Russian Popular Front in the Sverdlovsk Region, Zhanna Ryabtseva. During her stay at the enterprise, the authorized representative of the President of the Russian Federation got acquainted with the production indicators of the plant and the technological process, paying special attention to the environmental component - after the processing plant, where ore is processed into concentrates, she examined the existing industrial waste water treatment facilities of the Uchalinskaya industrial site and the second stage facilities under construction treatment facilities.
The specialists of the plant spoke in detail about the stages of purification of mine and dump waters and how the technology is being improved after the commissioning of the second stage facilities. They explained to Zhanna Ryabtseva the scheme of recycling water supply adopted at the plant, showed a complex of paste thickening of the tailings, where the tailings formed during ore processing are thickened to a paste state and sent to the bowl of the spent Uchalinsky open pit for its reclamation.
