PAO Severstal, one of the world's largest vertically integrated steel and mining companies, has become one of the winners of the HRBrad 2020 award organized by HeadHuter. According to the results of the competition, awards are presented for achievements in the field of personnel management.
Severstal received the first degree award in the most competitive category, Federation, for the project of the Digital Steel educational program. Its goal is to train employees in the basic and intermediate level of digital competencies. The program started in April 2020, and already over 14 thousand employees of different business units have actively participated in the training, return to it and recommend to their colleagues, and almost 5 thousand have completed the difficult intermediate level.

Severstal's strategic workforce planning project (StrategicWorkforce Plaig, SWP) won the special HR Analytics category. The purpose of this analytical product is to assess the scope and quality of the competencies that a company needs to achieve its strategic goals. The tool allows you to plan competencies on a long-term basis and, based on analytical data, choose the most effective strategy for attracting them: build (develop competencies internally), buy (find competencies in the market), borrow (take competencies) or retai (prevent the outflow of competencies). With the help of SWP, Severstal formed plans to provide competencies for strategic organizational potentials. In 2021, the company plans to continue replicating the methodology for the organizational potential of Digital and the Severstal-Metiz group of companies. «
