In the children's health camp "Kalkan" of the Uchalinsky GOK (an enterprise of the raw materials complex of the UMMC), a career guidance platform has been launched to introduce children to the activities of the combine. In the premises of one of the hangars, the workers of the plant built and placed models of several production facilities of the enterprise. Moving around the professional site, the guys not only listen to how ore is mined and processed, but also try to operate models of a mine loader or excavator themselves, load toy dump trucks with rock mass and send them along the technological road of an open pit to ore warehouses.
- A very good idea has been perfectly embodied. For children, we visualized the main production processes of the plant, while flotation is of the greatest interest to them: they see how bubbles are formed, understand how minerals are fixed on them, and how we get the finished concentrate, - Vyacheslav, the main concentrator of Uchalinsky GOK JSC, shares his impressions Zakopailo, who took part in the organization of a mini-park for career guidance.
For laboratory equipment - a crushing plant and a flotation machine - was installed on the professional site for a visual demonstration of the enrichment process. The children are shown to what fraction the ore is crushed, they explain how it is abraded with steel balls in mills, and what happens next in flotation machines. After the guys "receive" the finished concentrate in the filtering and drying department, they begin to get acquainted with the industrial wastewater treatment facilities and the complex of paste thickening of the tailings. The final location gives an idea of the environmental activities of the plant.
The opening of the vocational guidance site was preceded by extensive organizational work, in which specialists from the shops and departments of the Uchalinsky GOK and the Uchalinsky college of mining took part. For several months, the concept of the site was developed, equipment and models were selected. The vocational guidance platform will be improved in the future - it will be supplemented with screens with videos for a more complete immersion in the production of the enterprise.
