the UN Summit on climate change in Madrid was a fiasco Saturday after a night of negotiations between the two countries has not led to consensus, but on the contrary were made by participating countries more divided than ever, in a vision of how to combat global warming, and who will pay for its disastrous consequences.

Delegates from rich countries, emerging economies and poorest countries objected to the final draft text submitted by the host Chile in an unsuccessful attempt to find a common language.

After a year of climate-related disasters, including deadly storms, flooding and forest fires, as well as weekly strikes millions of young people, the talks in Madrid was to give a clear signal about the willingness of world governments to handle the crisis.

the Summit was also aimed at the finalization of the rulebook landmark Paris agreement of 2015, which will take effect next year.

Instead, the delegates on Saturday protested what they called a step backwards on key policy question - how far each country is willing to go to help to prevent climate catastrophe.

In Madrid appeared again the old divisions between rich countries polluting, and developing countries about who should cut greenhouse gas emissions and how to pay the trillions of dollars necessary for humans to adapt to the changing climate of the world.

However, the final request of the countries most vulnerable to climate change, there remains some signal that other countries are ready to strengthen commitments to reduce emissions, which would allow the world to be prepared for the inevitable global warming.

"the Latest version of the decision text for the Paris agreement, proposed by the Chilean President, is absolutely unacceptable," says Alden Meyer, political Director of the Union of concerned scientists and expert observer of the negotiations at the UN. "He urges countries to strengthen commitments to reduce emissions."

Previously coalsalesthat the failure of the Madrid summit will lead to the fact that global warming will be a harsh reality, even if individual countries and increase their commitments under the Paris agreement.
