President of the United States Donald trump said Saturday that it will delay a summit of the group of Seven (G-7), which he had hoped to spend next month, until September or later, and will expand the guest list to include Australia, Russia, South Korea and India. According to him, the current format of the summit is obsolete.
Earlier it was planned that the summit will be held 10-12 June at the residence of Donald trump camp David 100 miles from Washington. However, after demarche Chancellor Merkel Agely the White house announced that the President intends to hold the summit later, but full-time in Washington as a symbol of returning the world to normal.
Russia was excluded from the group of Eight (G-8) in 2014, the cadence of Barack Obama after Moscow annexed Crimea. Russia still holds the territory, and various G-7 governments have rejected previous calls trump on the readmission of Moscow.
Press Secretary of the White house Alyssa Farah said trump wants the country discussed China at the summit.
South Korea knows about trump's invitation and will discuss the issue with the United States, said on Sunday to Reuters, a government official from Seoul.
G-7 combines the USA, UK, France, Japan, Germany, Italy and Canada, and the European Union.
