As reported in Ukrmetallurgprom, for 5 months of the year 2020 in Ukraine is increasing consumption of rolled products in the domestic market compared to January-may 2019 by 3.26% with a simultaneous decrease in the share of imports by 7.6%.
In January-may 2020 domestic consumers supplied 1 659,7 thousand tons of rolled metal, of which 434,7 thousand tons, or 26.2 percent, have to import.
during the reporting period, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises produced of 7.43 million tonnes of rolled products, which is 6.2% less than in January – may 2020, which according to OOO "ETR-Spectrum", the exported order of 6.21 million tonnes, or 83.5 per cent. In the same period of 2019, the share of exports amounted to 86,6% (of 6.86 million tonnes with a total metal production of 7.92 million tons).
the Main export markets of Ukrainian steel products in January-may 2020, according to the "ETR-Spectrum", are the countries of the European Union (31,1%), Africa (14.8 percent) and Europe (14.1 per cent).
Among metals importers 5 months of 2020 the first place is the CIS (39,1%), followed by EU-28 (26.1 per cent), the third — the countries of Asia (18,0%).
