China will set temporary zero import duties on coal to ensure reliable energy supply.
According to the decision of the Committee on Customs Duties under the State Council of the People's Republic of China, from May 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, a temporary zero rate of import customs duties will be in effect for coking coal and six other types of coal products.
In China, the rates of import customs duties on various types of coal products under the most favored nation regime now range from three to six percent.
