In 2022, the pipe-rolling shop of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant worked almost at full capacity. About 115 thousand tons of pipe products were rolled and shipped to various countries of the world, and a 3-year record for the number of heat-treated pipes - 45,145 tons was set at the finishing and heat treatment section of the TPM.
“Today we are loaded with in full volume. Significantly increased the number of orders within the country and in the Russian Federation (about 80%). These products are subject to very high quality requirements. Directly at the pipe finishing and heat treatment section, the loading is more than 100%.
Supplies to other countries have decreased, but they still exist. As early as this month, we will be rolling a pipe for the production of bullet drills with a full cycle of finishing and anti-corrosion coating.
Most buyers of our products use the pipe in the oil industry. One of their mandatory requirements is the passage of a cylindrical mandrel inside the pipe. To carry out this operation, in 2022, the TPM upgraded and put into operation a templating unit,” says the materials of the Metallurg factory newspaper.
