Bureau of industry and security (BIS) of the Ministry of Commerce announced that it will extend by 90 days a Temporary General license (TGL) that allows specific, limited operations in transactions involving the export, re-export and transfer of objects in accordance with the export administration Regulations (EAR) for Huawei< / span> and its affiliates outside the United States, announced on Monday, the U.S. Department of Commerce.

"a Temporary extension of the General license will allow operators to continue to serve customers in some of the most remote areas of the United States, which otherwise would have remained blocked," - said the Minister of Commerce Wilbur Ross. "The Department will continue to strictly control the export of sensitive technologies to guarantee that our innovations will not be used by those who threaten our national security".

Out of scope TGL for any export, re-export or transfer in-country of items subject EAR, will still require a license, if any, will be provided.

Chinese telecommunication company Huawei< / span> was added to the list of "suspicious" organizations after the Commerce Department concluded that the company engaged in activities contrary to the interests of national security or U.S. foreign policy, including alleged violations of International law on emergency economic powers (IEEPA), conspiracy to violate the IEEPA by providing prohibited financial services to Iran, and obstruction of justice in connection with the investigation of these alleged violations of U.S. sanctions, including illegal activities.

Note, the validity of licenses for American companies in business cooperation with Huawei, issued after the introduction of the Chinese company in the black list on charges of collaboration with the secret services of China, has expired on Monday, August 19. It was extended to November 19. The blacklisting means that an American company can't sell Huawei its products and technology without permission.
