The specialists of the combine and the contracting companies carried out all the work on the repair of the homogenization furnace and the section of the mill-700 in the rolling mill No. 1 on schedule and in full.

The homogenization furnace is one of the key links in the chain for the production of bearing steel, which is in demand in the automotive industry. In it, the metal structure is leveled at a temperature of 1200 ° C, which makes it possible to obtain workpieces with high performance properties.
During the repair, the furnace lining was partially replaced, the burner devices were updated, the gas-air tract and cooling systems were reviewed, and the automatic scale removal system was restored.
In parallel, the planned repair of the mill-700 section was underway. The work was carried out on all units – from heating furnaces to a high-altitude intermediate warehouse. The billet transportation system on a roller roller, the installation of a scale hydraulic shredder, hot-cutting saws, high-rise stackers and other equipment were repaired.
More than 500 specialists from the plant's services and contractors worked on the project. The work was carried out around the clock, in compliance with all the requirements of occupational safety and industrial safety.
