The kiln is a key element of vanadium production. It is divided into five zones. In each of them, the firing apparatchik controls: the temperature profile, gas and air consumption, the moisture content of the charge and its supply along the conveyor.
In order not to wait for deviations in these indicators, but to predict them and act ahead of time, a digital prompter was introduced into EVRAZ Vanadium Tula. This IT project helps to reduce the time delay in detecting problems.
Among the advantages of the system are monitoring of 6 critical parameters in real time, color indication of deviations, recommendations for troubleshooting, reduction of response time to emergency situations, prevention of emergencies and downtime due to early detection of deviations.
