The project was implemented on the basis of the Russian EME.

For MMK, this was an important step in replacing foreign software. The system provides comprehensive automation of warehouse operations, including management of material flows, personnel work, loading and unloading equipment and labeling of goods.
The pilot site for the implementation of an electronic warehouse process management system was the equipment section No. 1 of the UPP, which includes 14 physical warehouses, as well as 12 open storage sites. Previously, the project had been in pilot operation for seven months. According to experts, the operational effect was already recorded at the start of the system.
The launch of a fully Russian electronic system allowed us to improve the accuracy of warehouse operations, said Artem Dolgushin, head of the equipment section No. 1 of the MMK Management Company.
A smart warehouse helps reduce the time needed to find, select, and ship equipment, which directly affects the overall speed of production. Automation of inventory accounting minimizes possible errors, and real-time monitoring of the location of goods ensures better manageability of warehouse processes."This project is of strategic importance to us, added the Deputy Head of the MMK Management Company Evgeny Nosov.
"Now the smart system operates on an area of about 25 thousand square meters. We deliberately started with the most difficult part in order to work out all the nuances before scaling. Although the direct savings from such projects are not as obvious as, for example, in production initiatives, it leads to overall efficiency by optimizing logistics and increasing the transparency of warehouse operations. We have achieved our goals and gained a unique experience for the metallurgical industry."In the near future, the successful experience of implementing an electronic warehouse process management system at equipment site No. 1 is planned to be extended to other divisions of the MMK Pre-Production Department.
