The KAMAZ-65659 car, along with the popular KAMAZ-54901 model, is a representative of the mainline family of K5 generation vehicles. The main difference between the new truck tractor and its predecessor is the 6x2 wheel arrangement. This design was achieved thanks to the installation of an additional lifting axle, which made it possible to bring the gross vehicle weight to 26 tons. The tractor is equipped with an in-line 6-cylinder KAMAZ model 910 (Euro-5) engine with a capacity of 450 hp, an automated 12-speed ZF gearbox Traxon, Daimler's hypoid drive axle, a comfortable 2500 mm wide flat floor cab with two berths. Among the advantages of the novelty are the fuel tank increased to 650 liters, the service interval up to 120 thousand km, the vehicle resource - up to 1.2 million km.
At the end of last year, a trial assembly of KAMAZ-65659 vehicles took place, the first batch of trucks has already been transferred to test operation. Serial production of this model has already begun, the start of sales is scheduled for March, and in November 2021 it is planned to release new complete sets of cars of this family.
Also in 2021, KAMAZ will bring to the market the KAMAZ-65951 (8x4) and KAMAZ-65952 (6x6) dump trucks designed for the transportation of various bulk cargo. These are representatives of the heavy family of cars of the K5 generation with a gross weight of 50 and 41 tons, respectively. The vehicles are also equipped with KAMAZ engines of model 910 ("Euro-5") with a capacity of 450 hp, rear drive axles with an axle load of 16 tons. Depending on the operating conditions, it is proposed to use various variants of dumping units with a volume of 16 to 25 cubic meters. m.
As noted by the specialists of the Scientific and Technical Center of KAMAZ, special attention in the design was paid to improving the reliability of vehicles, driver comfort, and reducing fuel consumption. Now the production of a trial batch is being completed, intended for testing the technology of manufacturing and transferring cars to controlled operation. It should be noted that within this family, various types of cars and chassis are created, designed for the installation of various equipment. According to the specialists of the Trade and Finance Company KAMAZ, the start of sales of new products, to which consumers are already showing great interest, is scheduled for July 2021.
