Imports of ferrous metals excluding cast iron, ferroalloys, waste and scrap (group 72 except 7201-7204 TN VED EAEU) amounted to 2,748.8 thousand tons for 7 months, which is 6.5% higher than the result of the same period in 2020. In July, volumes decreased by 10.7% to the previous month to 406.7 thousand tons.
The import of steel pipes (7304-7306 TN VED EAEU) reached 234.9 thousand tons in January-July 2021, or 88.9% of the volume of the same period in 2020, in July - 33.7 thousand tons. tons or 104.2% of the June 2021 result.
"The share of metals and metal products in the commodity structure of imports in January-July 2021 amounted to 6.9% (in January-July 2020 - 7%). In the commodity structure of imports from non-CIS countries, the share of these goods accounted for 5.7% (in January-July 2020 - 6.2%), from the CIS countries - 17.7% (13.6%) .The value of this product group increased by 28.8% YoY. %, and physical - by 10.1%. Import of steel structures from ferrous metals decreased by 12.3%, pipes - by 11.1%.
