The most novelties this year were presented by the sheet-rolling shop "1700" of the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works - the division produced eight new types of rolled metal, which took into account the requirements of customers for mechanical properties, chemical composition and geometric dimensions of rolled metal. The mill began to produce hot-rolled steel with a thickness of 2.5-3.5 mm and a width of 970 mm from the S500MC steel grade, which is used for welded structures and in the construction industry. In addition, the production of sheet steel with a thickness of 6.2 mm and a width of 1310 mm from steel grade L245NB has begun for the production of pipes with increased requirements for mechanical properties.
Sheet-rolling shop "3000" has added five new types of products to the range of the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works. For the first time, the division fulfilled an order for thick plates in accordance with the requirements of the European standard with a guarantee for tensile and hardness tests after heat treatment of samples. At the same time, they immediately took up the most difficult steel grade - S460NL with a chemical composition according to the EN 10025-3 standard. To determine all additional requirements, together with the customer, technical requirements for the supply of rolled products have been developed and agreed.
Thick plates were produced with multi-certification meeting the requirements of four steel grades simultaneously and a certificate of compliance with the Pressure Vessels Directive PED 2014/68 /EU in accordance with AD2000-W0. Additional requirements for impact tests at cryogenic temperatures and tensile tests at elevated temperatures are applied to this rolled product. The order was shipped to Spain for the further production of pressure vessel products.
Five new products were released by the cold rolling shop. Cold-rolled annealed steel grade DC01 with increased requirements for mechanical properties, stamping and surface quality was manufactured, intended for the manufacture of heating radiators. The production of galvanized steel with a mass of zinc coating of at least 100 grams per square meter according to DIN EN 10346: 2015 was mastered at AGNTs-2u. The required coating mass was achieved through the use of special technological modes: increased air pressure in the air knives in accordance with the speed of the strip.
